Entomological box containing a very beautiful specimen of Thysania agrippina from Peru, also called white witch, it is sometimes feared and particularly by the superstitious local population who attribute certain misfortunes to it.
As an adult, it is the butterfly with the largest wingspan in the world, up to 30cm.
A moth that is sometimes mistaken for a bat or a bird because of its size.
The box is entirely handmade by a craftsman bookbinder in Anjou.
Dimensions of the box: 26x19.5cm.
Only in-store collection possible, the butterflies are too fragile to be shipped.
