Description
Anatomy of Man by Jules Cloquet
Anatomical lithography in black and white
The plates date from around 1852
Stamp of the Franco-Belgian Literary and Artistic Convention of 22 August 1852 abolishing French literary counterfeiting in Belgium on the back of the plates.
Before this convention, French authors were published in Belgium without their agreement and without copyright.
Please note that the plates are all freckled, wet, with eaten edges, tears, etc.
In-Folio: Approximately 53cmx35.5cm
Plate CLVI (156) does not have the 1852 convention stamp and is smaller. Size: 40.5cmx23cm, I think it has already been recut.
