Theraphosa Blondi, also known as the Goliath spider or Leblond's mygale
This is the largest species of mygale discovered to date.
Its venom, injected by 2cm-long fangs, is neurotoxic but not very active on humans. Nevertheless, the size and strength of the fangs will cause severe pain if bitten. It hunts by lying in wait, on the ground, and is only active at night.
