The megalodon is an extinct species of shark that lived during the Miocene period, approximately 23 to 5.3 million years ago (duration: 18 million years).
Considered to be one of the most important and powerful predators to have ever existed, it could be found in all regions of the world, hence the diverse origins of the teeth found.
Provenance: Indonesia
The longest diagonal is measured at 12.7cm.
The enamel is in good condition and of a beautiful color, with restoration on the lower right of the domed face.
The root has been restored, as is often the case with brittle Indonesian teeth.
The serrations on the edge of each side of the teeth are still present!
