Description

Mosasaurus tooth - Fossil

Mosasaurus was a giant marine reptile that lived in the Upper Cretaceous, between -72 and -66 million years ago. It could measure up to 17 metres in length.

The Mosasaurus is not a dinosaur in the scientific sense of the term, although for convenience it is often referred to as such.

The Mosasaurus is a giant marine reptile, popularised since its appearance in the film Jurassic World (it is the species that lives in the Great Basin).

The teeth are on their rock gangue, and we can also see small pieces of bone and shells.
