Gargariscus prionocephalus is a species of bony fish.
It is the only species of its genus Gargariscus (monotypic). It is a fish of great depths.
Native to the Indo-Pacific region (Japan, Philippines), it can reach up to 30 cm in length.
Here the specimen is about 22-23cm long
