The shell of this mollusc is unique because bristling dozens of fine and pointed needles perfectly arranged.
Its siphonal canal is particularly long. Needles protect the animal from predators but also prevent it from sinking into the sand.
Like other molluscs of the genus Mures, this gastropod feeds on other molluscs.
