Description

19th century Physician's box - Apothecary's cabinet

Travelling pharmacy - Portable pharmacy

Wooden and coated canvas case with brass handle.

The box locks with a key, which is still present and works perfectly.

There are 12 bottles inside, not necessarily original, either square or round, with or without glass or cork stoppers.

The set also has a removable cardboard and felt box inside, closed by a hook, which contains three boxes with old labels "Pharmacie normale, 15 rue Drouot" a pharmacy in Paris, (the boxes are empty). There is also a cylindrical cardboard case containing a roll of needles and a cartridge of Neveux Frères mechanical thread, as well as 2 cloths for covering vial caps, for example.

This removable box also contains a penholder and another utensil.

This is a box that has lived through the ages, the outer canvas and inner felt are damaged.
