A la Reine des Abeilles, House of the Perfumer VIOLET in Paris

Solidified cold-cream soap for toilet and bath use

Prepared by Violet, perfumer and soap maker

The box features the imperial coat of arms of Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III, represented by a bee, as Maison Violet was the official supplier to the House of Empress Eugenie under the Second Empire, as well as to numerous European royal courts.

A la Reine des Abeilles was a great perfumery and luxury soap house from its creation in 1827 until 1955 when the brand disappeared. But a young trio of entrepreneurs has just woken the house from its slumber since 2017 with the launch of new fragrances.
